Since 2017, DEMFORUM NGO has run the Thank You, Defenders of Ukraine campaign to honour the service personnel, volunteer fighters and civilian volunteers defending Ukraine.
The campaign encouraged Ukrainians to publish messages of thanks, record video addresses and share them with the hashtag #ДякуюЗахисникамУкраїни. Some videos were broadcast on Espreso TV, the initiative’s media partner.
The campaign aims to foster a culture of gratitude towards Ukraine’s defenders and make public recognition of their contribution part of a shared social tradition.
