Illustration of communication and knowledge sharing

DEMFORUM NGO and Fundacja Geremka delivered a project as part of the Study Tour to Poland – Study Visits in Poland 2025–2027 programme, with support from Fundacja Liderzy Przemian and the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

Editors from national and regional Ukrainian media visited Poland. The delegation included journalists from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Bila Tserkva, Sumy and Odesa. They visited leading Polish newsrooms and met European diplomats and experts to strengthen professional ties and discuss shared challenges in information security.

The programme included visits to prominent Polish media outlets, including TVP World, SlavaTV, Rzeczpospolita and Gazeta Wyborcza. The journalists also met press officers from the European Parliament and European Commission representations in Poland, visited the Euro Multimedia Centre and met colleagues working in Poland, including journalists Olena Babakova and Anna Rokicińska.

Discussions focused on values, information security and the media’s role in democratic transformation. The delegation visited the Bronisław Geremek Foundation, met Myroslava Keryk, Director of the Ukrainian House Foundation, and visited the European Commission Representation in Poland.

The importance of personal connections, dialogue and solidarity was also discussed during a meeting with Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar.

On behalf of the Ukrainian organisers, Iryna Handziuk thanked the Polish partners for a rich programme, a series of meaningful meetings and warm exchanges.

“Everyone who took part in this Warsaw visit gained cultural insights, friendships and professional knowledge. We greatly appreciate this support and will continue bringing Ukrainian and Polish professionals and active young people together, developing networks of cooperation in culture, information, education and other fields.”
