“All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” started work on the creation of the Concept of the Stanisław Vincenz Center
In September 2018, the public organization “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” began work on the creation of the Concept of the Center for Intercultural Dialogue named after Stanisław Vincenz. The project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
The Stanisław Vincenz Center for Intercultural Dialogue should become a place where scientists, students and local residents will meet for work, intellectual recreation and study. Another task of the institution is to popularize the ideas and heritage of the outstanding humanist and “Homer of Hutsulshchyna” Stanisław Vincenz. The center presents a unique exhibition space, created taking into account the trends of modern European narrative museums.
The All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum NGO team has already invited the best experts from Eastern Europe to develop the idea of building the Stanisław Vincenz Center for Intercultural Dialogue. The editor-in-chief of the Concept was Pavel Koval, Doctor of Science, specialist in modern history of the Natolin College of Europe in Warsaw. He dictated the trend of combining history, state-of-the-art technologies and bold creative ideas in Polish museology. This approach was first used in the Warsaw Uprising Museum, a project that revolutionized Polish museums.
Ukrainian and Polish professors, scientists and journalists are invited to work on the Concept of the Center. As a result of the work of the group of experts, there will be a script, instructions, texts and audiovisual content, which will become the basis for the future exposition. The Vincenz Center should become a place for dialogue on the key topics of the Europe of the future – a world that is focused on communities and humanistic values. The creation of the Center is made possible thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, under whose patronage the project is being carried out.
The total cost of the project amounted to 1.5 million hryvnias, 50% of which was allocated Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a state institution established in 2017, on the basis of the relevant Law of Ukraine, with the aim of promoting the development of national culture and art in the state, ensuring favorable conditions for the development of the intellectual and spiritual potential of the individual and society, wide access of citizens to the national cultural heritage, support of cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into the world cultural space. According to current legislation, the activities of the fund are directed and coordinated by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

A series of new discussion Talk Shows with the support of the US Embassy
With the support of the US Embassy, a series of new discussion talk shows “Political Club of Vitaliy Portnykov” will be held. The essence of the project is a live debate and discussion of current topics related to reforms, politics and economy of Ukraine with the participation of guests in the studio (specialists/experts).
In recent years, the leadership of Ukraine has initiated many important reforms (medical, educational, decentralization). Many civil servants on the ground, regional mass media and the country’s population do not understand the essence of the reforms. The goal of the project is to provide objective and alternative information for the residents of Ukraine living in the Western, Central and Eastern regions of Ukraine and to help ease the tension that arose due to differences of opinion between the regions through the exchange of information between the regions, to improve communication channels, to oppose anti-Ukrainian propaganda and fake mass media.
The project will also help bring to the attention of all Ukrainians, in particular, specific and relevant information on specific topics.
The task of the project to inform the population of Ukraine will be achieved thanks to the relevance of the selected topics, the high professionalism of the film crew, editors and the opportunity to watch all broadcasts of the program for free at any time.

The Roots: A solo exhibition of Ivan Marchuk’s new works opened in central Kyiv
A personal exhibition of works of art by Ivan Marchuk, one of the most famous modern Ukrainian authors, opened in the capital’s Center of Contemporary Art (Kyiv, Khreshchatyk, 38, 7th floor). Most of the works will be seen by the audience for the first time.
The project, called “The Roots”, united about forty canvases of five (out of 12) author’s cycles of a wide creative range – from the philosophically insightful “Voice of my soul” and hyperrealistic landscapes to the sophisticated paintings of the series “Weary Melody” (the series of paintings was created in the 70s and will be exhibited for the first time) and the surreal cosmos of “Looking into Infinity”. The artist also offers the viewer a new monumental cycle of his works “Color Preludes” (10 canvases), which will be exhibited for the first time.
A significant part of the exhibited collection consists of works that have traveled the world in the last few years – they were displayed in leading museums and galleries in Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Thailand, Tunisia, Jordan, Turkey.
“I like improvisations, but I finish the paintings down to the micron. As a musician: he wrote a melody, and later it should be arranged, polished. And finally, everyone comes and exclaims: oh, what a picture, it’s ready. No, I say, there are still two thousand details to be drawn here. A person does not see this. However, I can see. I seek perfection, and when I fail to achieve it, I feel uncomfortable. It’s a hell of a job. I write at a tremendous speed: dozens of strokes per second. I work in extreme ecstasy. Only in such a state do I manage to bring the work to the point where it seems to have my trademark on it, so that even without a signature it can be seen: this is Marchuk’s picture, and no one else’s.”
– talks about his creativity Ivan Marchuk.
“It is a great honor for the Sky Art Foundation to work with an author of such caliber as Ivan Marchuk. The project “Roots” is the quintessence of the artist’s work, which will not only give the viewer the opportunity to get acquainted with the author’s diverse works, but also explain the deep essence and importance of the existence of the work of such artists in the framework of world artistic and philosophical development.”
– notes Yulia Ostrovskaya, director of the Sky Art Foundation.
The opening of the exhibition took place on May 29 at 19:00. The exhibition will last until June 27, entry is free for everyone. The organizer of the event is Sky Art Foundation. Media partner of ArtsLooker.
