“It is a great honor for me to receive this award and to enter Vincenz’s bright circle. This is a person who took off the “invisibility cap” from Hutsul culture and showed it to the whole world in his epic “On the High Uplands”. It is important to show culture, and to enlighten the people with culture. As Stanisław Vincenz did, as Mykola Kniazhytskyi is doing, organizing such Forums.
– said Malkovych
He also noted that in recent years, more has been done for Ukrainian culture than before: new institutions have been created, laws have been passed to support Ukrainian cinema, song and culture.

Yuriy Andruhovych will perform the modern concert “Lithography” to the accompaniment of the Polish band KARBIDO. The project is entirely dedicated to old Stanislavov with his stories and legends. The textual basis was the eponymous cycle of seven poems by Yuriy Andruhovich, which was first published in the second half of the 1980s and three decades later suddenly resonated with renewed meanings.
Solomia Chubai’s project “CHUBAY. UKRAINE. LOVE” is a presentation of Solomia Chubai’s new album “POETS”.
Ukrainian poetry sounds like a song and goes perfectly with the music. Songs based on poems by Vasyl Stus, Mykola Vingranovskyi, Pavel Tychyna, Lesya Ukrainka, Marianna Kiyanovskaya, Natalya Bilotserkivets, Izdrik, Maryana Savka, Serhiy Zhadan, and the incredible “Nertep” by Hrytsk Chubai, which create a connection of generations, a bridge from the 19th century. to the 21st century, will be performed by Solomiya Chubai, the poet’s daughter, with the bands “Jalapita” and ROCKOKO, accompanied by the “INSO-Lviv” symphony orchestra.
Taras Chubai will conclude the presentation of the project with “The Cry of Jeremiah”.
The son of Hrytsk Chubai has been writing music to his father’s words since he was 16 years old, his most famous composition is “When to Your Lips”.

The new political reality in Ukraine, 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Such topics were discussed today at the Via Carpatia forum.
More about what the first day of the event was like – in the story of the Espreso TV channel:
The “Sacred Colors of Hutsul region” shined at the Via Carpatia Forum
As part of the Via Carpatia Forum, the exhibition “Sacred Colors of Hutsul region” was opened in Verkhovyna. The authors of the exposition are natives of the Verkhovyna region, the married artists Mykola and Svitlana Rybenchuka.
“The main goal, the main goal of our exhibition was to research, promote, spread the great Hutsul culture. Culture is the main foundation on which the state should be built. If the state is not built on culture, then it will not have that powerful spiritual development. Culture is the source and pillar on which civilization must rest. And we are actually investigating this ancient Hutsul culture, which dates back many, many thousands of years before our era. We conduct scientific and artistic expeditions, explore the history of our Carpathian mountains, and paint pictures from there. We want to reveal to the world that indisputable tradition that can change Europe and the whole world. This is very important, we must know that we are a great nation with a deep tradition and great culture. We should not bow our heads to Europe, but they should understand that there is a great tradition and a great culture here, and this is very important.”
– says Mykola Rybenchuk.

It is very important for us to revive the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Hutsul Region. These places are famous all over the world, but now they are going through difficult economic times. Our task is to draw attention to the problems of the Carpathians and those people who live in the mountains.”
