Forum Via Carpatia-2021

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine, the Forum Via Carpatia-2021 will be held under the slogan “Capital of freedom: 30 years of cultural independence”

“This year, the Via Carpatia International Forum will be held for the fourth time. The traditionally picturesque Hutsul region will host Ukrainian and European intellectuals, politicians, public figures and artists. We will talk about culture in the context of Independence, its development over the past 30 years, as well as the most recent historical perspective. These are closely related topics, because the formation of a nation is impossible without attention to its culture. We at Via Carpatia always collect its brightest samples. This is a forum of premiers, a forum of phenomena.”

– emphasized Mykola Kniazhytskyi, the initiator of Via Carpatia.

The musical program will be presented by well-known bands. The new star of Ukrainian cultural diplomacy, Go-A, will sing in Verkhovyna after performing at the Eurovision Song Contest. The band “Haydamaki” will come to the Forum with a premiere.

“At the Via Carpatia festival, “Haydamaki” will present songs from the new musical project “Triumph of the Word” based on the poem of the Shot Renaissance. This is a kind of sung anthology of Ukrainian poetry of the 20s and 30s, which we aim to popularize among Ukrainian youth. The texts will come to life in a modern sound and will not leave any listener indifferent.”

— Oleksandr Yarmola, the leader of the “Haydamaki” band, said.

The bands “Mandry”, “Koralli”, Myron Bloschychak will also perform. The opening of the year – the project “Hutsul Planet” will appear on the big stage for the first time with the premiere of the album “Spring Thoughts”. The film “Force of Destiny” as part of the “Right to the Future” project

As part of the “Right to the Future” project, the All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum public organization created the film “Force of Destiny”.

The film tells the real story of the child Nastya Huzarska, who has health problems due to lack of vaccination. This is a unique story of a girl who, as a result of her parents’ refusal to receive vaccinations, contracted whooping cough and measles. The consequences of these diseases are amazing. At the age of two, Nastya Huzarska developed complications from measles. And by the age of four, the situation reached such a critical level that the only way to save the girl was a heart transplant. A heart transplant operation was successfully performed in India.

The main message of the film is the touching story of a child and how her life and her family were changed by the disease and what difficulties they faced.

The production of the tape became possible thanks to the support of the American people, which was provided through the USAID project “Media Program in Ukraine”, which is implemented by the international organization Internews.
