This Saturday at 17:15, Espreso TV will present the documentary “Force of Destiny”.

The film tells the real story of the child Nastya Huzarska, who has health problems due to lack of vaccination. This is a unique story of a girl who, as a result of her parents’ refusal to receive vaccinations, contracted whooping cough and measles. The consequences of these diseases are amazing. At the age of two, Nastya Huzarska developed complications from measles. And by the age of four, the situation reached such a critical level that the only way to save the girl was a heart transplant. Nastya has inevitable processes in her heart, it becomes the size of a 17-year-old athlete. As a result of the therapy, she has a stroke. She urgently needs a heart transplant operation. The operation was successfully performed in India. Today, Nastya is the youngest person in Ukraine with a transplanted heart. The consequences of childhood diseases force Nastya to take pills to suppress her immunity for the rest of her life and bide her time in life.

The main message of the film is the touching story of a child and how her life and her family were changed by the disease and what difficulties they faced. The film also deals with the daily physical inconveniences and problems faced by the family.

The film was created as part of the “Right to the Future” project by the “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” public organization.

The production of the tape became possible thanks to the support of the American people, which was provided through the USAID project “Media Program in Ukraine”, which is implemented by the international organization Internews.
