On May 19, a master class was held for the first time in the “Shelter – Friendly Lviv” project at the “Grono” Lyceum. Children from Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Severodonetsk, and Bakhmut were told the history of embroidery, and were also shown which embroideries are characteristic of different regions of Ukraine. Everyone could choose an activity to their liking: some tried to embroider, some drew ornaments on paper shirts, others made appliqués with ornaments. And gymnasium teachers taught children to make bracelets from blue and yellow ribbons.

The “Shelter – Friendly Lviv” project for children from families who were forced to leave their homes due to the war is implemented by the NGO “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” with the support of Stiftung Schüler Helfen Leben. Within the project, sports events, chess lessons and open-air cinema are also held.
