The winners of the “Espreso. Readers’ Choice 2019” book prize have been announced. Readers determined the leaders by voting in libraries across Ukraine.
In the category “Best book for children and teenagers” the victory was won by “The Pack” by Anastasia Nikulina (Vivat, 2018).
Among books for adults, readers preferred “Behind the Back” by Haska Shiyan (Fabula, 2019).
The following made it to the finals of the children’s book competition:
- “The Child of Pesygolovtsiv”, Volodymyr Aryenev (“ASSA” publishing house);
- “Flock” by Anastasia Nikulina (“Vivat” publishing house);
- “Arctic Apiary”, Oleksandr Dermanskyi (“Ranok” publishing house).
From adults:
- “Phonetics of silence” (selected works, volume 1), Ivan Andrusiak (“NK-Bogdan” publishing house);
- “Behind the back”, Gaska Shiyan (“Fabula” publishing house);
- “Brotherhood”, Oleg Kryshtopa (publishing house “Babylonian Library”).
