As part of preparations for the exhibition, working meetings of representatives of Ferrexpo and NGO “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” were held with representatives of the Taras Shevchenko National Museum and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine.

During the meeting with the representatives of the museum, the concept of the exhibition and organizational issues were discussed. The subject of the works to be exhibited is people in the tragedy of the nuclear accident.

As part of the meeting with representatives of the Embassy of Japan: Mr. Hoshino Yuichi, second secretary and Kyryll Yarosyk, employee of the culture department, it was agreed on the further support of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, and the importance of international relations and support of culture and cultural figures not only in Ukraine, but also in the world was discussed. During the meeting, Mr. Masahiro Watanabe, a representative of the Japanese Ferrexpo office, noted that Ukraine and Japan experienced similar disasters in their time, so it is important to hold this exhibition and show the Ukrainian audience the point of view of foreign figures, which will contribute to the union of the two cultures.

We will remind that the exhibition of the artist’s works, which will be timed to the anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster, is planned for the end of April 2020.

Also, during the exhibition, workshops will be held for all those who are interested in the techniques used by Noriko Yanagisawa. They will be of interest to everyone, not only the artist, but also connoisseurs of interesting techniques, because Ms. Noriko’s representative works are copper-plastic prints, paintings drawn using Chinese ink, charcoal, stone pigment, combined in collage, etc.

We inform you that the exhibition will be held at the Taras Shevchenko National Museum at the end of April and will continue until the end of May 2020.
