The exhibition should reveal to the Ukrainian audience the figure of the outstanding Polish writer and philosopher, born in the Hutsul region – the author of the work “On the High Uplands”, which is called “Iliad and Odyssey of the Hutsuls” – Stanis\u0142aw Vincenz. The exhibition highlights the most important stages of the writer’s biography and conveys the atmosphere of the Ukrainian Carpathians, to which S. Vincenz dedicated his work.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The author of the exhibition “Dialogue about fate and soul” is literary critic, lecturer at the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Wroclaw, Doctor of Sciences Jan Andrzej Khoroshy. The project was made possible thanks to the support of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Culture and Spirituality and the Chairman of the Committee, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Kniazhytskyi. The NGO “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum” acted as the organizer from the Ukrainian side.<\/p>\n
The official opening of the exhibition by the Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Spirituality, accompanied by the author, will take place with the participation of the Vice-Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the Head of the Polish-Ukrainian Group of the Senate and Sejm of the Republic of Poland Mrs. Beata Mazurek, as well as other members of the Polish-Ukrainian Group of the Senate and Sejm of the Republic of Poland, who will be on an official visit to the Ukrainian Parliament.<\/p>\n
The exhibition “Dialogue about fate and soul” was created on the basis of documents and photos from the family archives of the families of S. Vincenz and the Italian photographer L. Cipriani, the funds of the Ossolinski National Library, the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow, the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, the Polish Museum in Rapperswil (Switzerland), the Association Literary Institute of Culture in Le Meny-le-Roi (France) and Polish library in London. The Polish premiere of the exhibition took place in October 2014 in Wroclaw. After the presentation in the Verkhovna Rada, the exhibition will travel across Ukraine from Kyiv to the village of Kryvorivnia, Verkhovyna District, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, where it will be exhibited on a permanent basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The exhibition about S. Vincenz will be the first “brick” in the creation of the Center for Intercultural Dialogue named after Stanis\u0142aw Vincenz – a cultural institution of the 21st century, which will open its doors to the first visitors in Kryvorivna in 2020.<\/p>\n
