And this year, computer science and robotics teachers Oksana Voytiuk and Oleg Hruba without hesitation applied to participate in the Ukrainian-Taiwanese project &#8220;Leave no one behind partnership&#8221;. They say that they understood well what benefit the school would receive. After all, the team of teachers over the years has been a participant in various projects, involving resources in the development of the educational space.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The project direction is for us every time new knowledge and an opportunity to improve the material base. In addition, the professional development of teachers contributes to the improvement of the quality of education and the development of an innovative environment in the school,&#8221; says school director Ihor Galushko.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although the teachers managed to equip the computer science classrooms with joint efforts, they say that the available equipment has become outdated over the years. Informatics teacher Oksana Voytiuk notes that, in addition to computers, modern knowledge and the ability to teach information to children in a new way are valuable for educators.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, the charitable educational project &#8220;Leave no one behind partnership&#8221; was presented to educators in June. Informatics teachers from schools in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Poltava regions submitted applications for participation in the IT training competition at the Ukrainian Catholic University. 48 teachers from 24 schools are currently studying at UKU. The next training session will begin on October 21. And after the end of the course, teachers will receive sets of computer equipment for school computer science classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The opportunity to become a student of UCU for a while motivated us a lot. After the first session, we received a lot of homework from the university teachers. Sometimes we even work on weekends to get everything done. Lectures on programming, STEM, and artificial intelligence were of great interest. These topics are present in the program of the new Ukrainian school (NUS), however, no one prepared teachers for this. This year, in the lessons of the 7th grade, I am already using the material of the lectures of the first session at UCU&#8221;, concluded Oksana Voytiuk.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the deputy director of the school, Olena Lozynska, teachers&#8217; participation in the &#8220;Leave no one behind partnership&#8221; project is a responsibility to carry the acquired knowledge further, to pass it on to children and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are motivated and ready to learn new things in our educational practice. As a whole team, we confidently overcome challenges, every time we support each other in creating changes,&#8221; the teachers say.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The project of innovative education and computerization is implemented by the NGO &#8220;All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum&#8221; with the support of Taiwan and with the assistance of Mykola Kniazhytskyi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8220;We often hear about the outflow of Ukrainians abroad, about the demographic crisis and the aging of the population. But these problems have real solutions if we invest in the development of our citizens here and now. That is why the goal of this project is to improve the qualifications of teachers, computerize schools, give young people quality education and understanding that they are needed by the state. We will support and motivate them in this.
