On July 16, 2019, the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as a State Language” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on April 25, 2019 will enter into force. On this occasion, an all-Ukrainian action called “Language unites” will be held in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Mariupol and many other cities of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The event aims to show our opponents from the aggressor country and other countries that Ukrainians are capable of protecting their language. Famous Ukrainian performers, writers, poets, public figures will take the stage in 30 cities of the country to once again confirm the importance of the adopted Law and its historical significance.<\/p>\n

The main stage of the “Language unites” action will be located in Lviv on the square near the Shevchenko monument. The organizer of the concert is the public organization “All-Ukrainian Democratic Forum”. The event will start at 19:30 and last until 23:00. Famous artists in Ukraine and abroad will take part in it: Taras Chubai and the group “Crying of Jeremiah”, the vocal formation “Picardiiska Tertsia”, Oksana Muha, Maria Burmaka, Solomiya Chubai with the groups “Djalapita” and “Rockoko”, Ivan Navi, the group “WSZYSTKO”.<\/p>\n

The repertoire of the concert consists of the best Ukrainian songs. It will feature songs by composers Yaroslav Barnych, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, Mykola Mozgovoi, Anatoliy Gorchynskyi, Igor Poklad, Kyril Stetsenko, Viktor Morozov, Taras Chubai based on poems by Vasyl Simonenko, Bohdan Vesolovskyi, Pavel Tychyna, Yurk Izdrik, Serhiy Zhadan, Ivan Malkovych, Bohdan-Ihor Antonych, Marianna Kiyanovska.<\/p>\n

The event will be televised by three national TV channels: “Channel 5”, “Pryamiy”, “Espreso”.<\/p>\n
