For three days, there will be meaningful conversations on the topics of culture, defense, energy and economic cooperation in the joint resistance to Russian aggression.<\/p>\n<p>Special events of the Forum on November 11-13 will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>International conference<\/strong> with a focus on the role of the Carpathians as a cultural shelter and an understanding of the phenomenon of cultural development and civil cooperation during the brutal war.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Ukrainian-Polish meeting&#8221;<\/strong>, initiated by the co-chairs of the parliamentary group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Poland Mykola Kniazhytskyi and Artem Kovalev, as well as the head of the Polish-Ukrainian parliamentary group Marcin Bosatsky.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Context: War&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; literary and artistic meeting of military writers.<\/li>\n<li>Exclusive for the capital &#8211; <strong>premiere of the play &#8220;Grandfathers&#8221;<\/strong>. A work by Adam Mickiewicz, staged by the Ivano-Frankivsk Drama Theater and Polish director Maya Kleczewska.<\/li>\n<li>The international forum will end <strong>annual award ceremony\u00a0<strong>named after Stanis\u0142aw Vincenz<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;For Humanistic Service and a Contribution to Regional Development&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The events of the Via Carpatia 2024 Forum will traditionally be broadcast live by the &#8220;Espreso&#8221; TV channel.<br \/> The panel discussions of the conference will be shown by the Polish TV channel TVP World.<\/p>\n<p>Literary and artistic meeting &#8220;Context: war&#8221;. The participants will be Ukrainian military writers: Olena Mokrenchuk, Serhiy Pantyuk, Volodymyr Skorostetskyi, Vitaly Zapeka, Bohdan Nazarenko, Roman Dronyuk, Andriy Humenyuk, Rustam Dmytruk, Olena Lototska, Serhiy Dzyuba, Oleksandr Prodan, Myroslav Otkovich, Volodymyr Korotya, Valery Palchyk, Oleg Borodai, Andriy Karpenko, Leonid Matyukhin, Ruslan Leskiv. The purpose of the event is to understand the reality of war through the experience of generations of Ukrainian artists. Modern authors combine creativity with military service, which makes their experience unique.<br \/>The program includes a literary mini-residence, two-day public literary readings, a special children&#8217;s program, and the traditional Via Carpatia awarding of the award named after Stanis\u0142aw Vincenz, an outstanding friend of Ukraine, Polish philosopher and chronicler of the Hutsul region, &#8220;For Humanistic Service and a Contribution to Regional Development&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The premiere of the play &#8220;Dzyady&#8221; based on the poem by Adam Mickiewicz. The staging of the work was created by the team of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko under the leadership of Shevchenko Prize laureate, theater director and film actor, director-artistic director of the theater Rostyslav Derzhypilskyi in a co-production with the Juliusz S\u0142owacki Krakow Theater and director Maya Kleczewska. The performance was recognized as the main theatrical event of 2023 in Poland. The production was included in the shortlist in the nomination &#8220;For the best performance at the intersection of theatrical genres, artistic synthesis and performative forms&#8221; of the &#8220;GRA&#8221; 2024 Award Festival. As the creators of &#8220;Uncles&#8221; emphasize, the performance explains the inhuman nature of Russia throughout the centuries, calls on Ukrainians and Europeans in general not to give up in the fight for freedom and not to hide from war.<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception, since 2018, Via Carpatia has taken place in the heart of Hutsul region &#8211; Verkhovyna and Kryvorivna, as well as in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Each time the forum became a large-scale event. After all, Via Carpatia is shaping the future of Central and Eastern Europe, uniting cultural figures, political leaders and experts &#8211; at a time when global historical changes are taking place in the region.<br \/>Therefore, the organizers emphasize, Via Carpatia 2024 will be a landmark premiere for the Ukrainian capital, and aims to convey a strong cultural message: the need for free people and peoples to cooperate in resisting any manifestations of aggression by the Russian Empire.<\/p>\n<p>The Via Carpatia 2024 forum takes place with the financial support of the International Renaissance Foundation. The literary and artistic meeting &#8220;Context: War&#8221; was supported by the Ukrainian Book Institute.
